Looking for a quick and simple dessert that will wow your guests? Look no further than this berry, peanut butter granola and yogurt parfait. Best of all it’s sugar free!
- 1tbs peanut butter (the 100% peanut, no sugar kind – crunchy is best)
- 1/8 cup desiccated coconut
- 1/2 cup oats (gluten free)
- Yogurt (I used natural greek yogurt)
- Berries (I used black forest fruits – blackberries, black currants, cherries, morello cherries – which I defrosted and left to cool)
All you need to do is…

- Mix (with your hands is easiest) the peanut butter, coconut and oats and place in the More >
There is a really awesome website in Canada, Well.ca, which has a great selection of gluten free foods and delivery is free! Whilst there is a pretty good selection of gluten free foods available at the two supermarkets in Banff there are some things I just cannot get my hands on. For these products I turn to Well.ca.
It was on Well.ca that I first discovered these Quinoa Burger Patties from GoGo – since then I noticed that they also stock them in one of the local supermarkets which is great.
The burgers are really easy to make, all you need to do More >
I am going to leave you waiting a little longer before I let you know how I have gone since the end of week 2 with my I Quit Sugar journey . In the meantime I am going to tell you about my favourite I Quit Sugar snacks to date.
Firstly I have been purchasing sliced roasted chicken from the deli and eating it on rice cakes with avocado, sliced tomato and salt and pepper. I absolutely love the flavour of this and it is a great healthy, filling snack.

The good thing was that I am away More >
I had this post on another of my blogs… I guess I didn’t want to announce it to the whole world as I didn’t know what people would think… I know a lot of people will just think this is another fad diet but this is really working for me and over the next couple of posts you will see why… so here it is…
The title of this post sounds extreme right? Well it probably is but I am doing a little experiment.
Once again after starting this (being a health blog I started) blog I went back to my old More >
One of the first things I went looking for when traveling around the US was a bar that I could have in my handbag for when I needed a snack. I was excited to find the LARABAR range in Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s (more on these in another post!).
The LARABAR range are a blend of unsweetened fruits, nuts and spices containing 100% whole food and no more than 2 to 9 ingredients. This means that they are all gluten free!
After trying my first LARABAR (Cherry Pie flavour) I was hooked and since then I have been attempting to try all More >
