Here is my wrap up of week 2 of quitting sugar (this was obviously written a few weeks ago now!): So week 2 was always going to be a challenging one, but I have to say I went into it with a pretty positive mindset. So why was week 2 going to be challenging? Well

I had this post on another of my blogs… I guess I didn’t want to announce it to the whole world as I didn’t know what people would think… I know a lot of people will just think this is another fad diet but this is really working for me and over the next couple

As with the spatchcock I received from Game Farm I wanted to make something simple with the Qual breast fillets I recieved from them. When you are cooking with such good quality meat it seems a shame to drown out it’s flavour with overpowering sauces. I therefore decided on the quail breast fillets with pasta,

With the spatchcock I received from Game Farm I decided to cook something reasonably simple and let the flavours of the bird come out. I therefore decided on the recipe from Game Farm’s website, spatchcock with white wine, lemon and rosemary. The recipe was simple and quick to prepare and the flavours were delicious. Before

I have fond memories of pea and ham soup. My mum used to make it quite often when we were kids with a big ham bone and split green peas. The only complaint I can make is that whilst the ham slid off the bone there wasn’t enough of it for my liking. Fast forward

Another (reasonably) gluten free friendly option in Banff is Magpie & Stump. I had wanted to try out their menu ever since going there for a few drinks one night. The interior is very well done and it has a great atmosphere. If you go just for drinks you get to de-shell peanuts on the ground (who

I attended a food blogger dinner at The Dip, an American style restaurant located in GOODGOD Bar. It took me quite awhile to work out where it was since I was looking for The Dip and not GOODGOD but after asking the bouncer I eventually decended the stairs into the eatery. As there were so many

I was lucky enough to receive a package from Game Farm, the largest multi-species game bird producer in the Southern Hemisphere, specialising in the breeding and processing of game birds, specialty poultry and supply of game meats. One of the products I received to try was a duck. I have to say this was rather

I loved living in Cammeray because it was a short stroll to Crows Nest which contains a number of cute boutique clothes shops as well as wonderful cafes and restaurants. One of the restaurants I managed to get to whilst living in Cammeray was MUMU Grill. I received an email voucher from them for my

Earls is one of my favourite places to eat dinner in Banff and it was a winner with my family when they came and visited too. It looks quite fancy and therefore the first time I went there I expected it to be rather expensive. However I was plesantly suprised, it has a great atmosphere, reaonsable prices, great

Being able to learn more about gluten free food and products would be an excellent opportunity to have a better understanding of my partner’s mother’s diet, as she is gluten intolerance. Gluten free products are relatively limited and by attending the Show, I would also be able to introduce new products to widen her options. Thanks in advance =)
