I’m back… and I am going to start making up for my absense with this amazing recipe for gluten free banoffee pie. Since moving to London I haven’t done much baking except when I went through a phase of making gluten free banana bread (recipe to come). However more recently I moved house and my

I used to eat at Wagamama all the time and loved it. But after being diagnosed with coeliac disease I visited Wagamama in Sydney and found out that I could only eat one item on the menu and it was far from the best dish I had had there. So I didn’t go back for

Just when you thought there could not be anymore restaurants in Banff with gluten free options. I have one more for now… and it’s a good one. It took me 10 months of living in Banff and finally in my last month of living there I got around to visiting Nourish. I had been told

I absolutely love Mexican food. The great thing about Mexican is that they often use corn tortilla’s and if not they usually at least have them as an option. So it is not surprising that after the first visit to Baja Cantina in Glebe, where they give you the option of corn or flour tortilla’s,

As I have mentioned before there are a number of places with gluten free options in Banff, and The Elk and Oarsman Pub & Grill is no exception to this. I was very excited to find that The Elk & Oarsman actually have a separate two page (!!) gluten free menu. I usually go to the

There is a really awesome website in Canada, Well.ca, which has a great selection of gluten free foods and delivery is free! Whilst there is a pretty good selection of gluten free foods available at the two supermarkets in Banff there are some things I just cannot get my hands on. For these products I

I saw an advertisement on TV for Hellmann’s Mayonnaise with this recipe. Whilst it sounded, let’s say interesting, I was intrigued and had to try it. The first time I tried this recipe I bought some gluten free rice crumbs but I found them too crunchy with an almost sand type texture. The next time

One night I had planned to make the chickpea curry I saw on Scandi Foodie’s blog however I left the recipe at work (and I didn’t have internet at home at the time) so I had to put my thinking cap on to try and remember the ingredients for this recipe. Then I realised that

This was another daily deal site purchase – a voucher for a meal at Sugar Lounge at Manly Beach. A couple of friends and I headed down one sunny Sydney day to indulge in some fancy food and drink (well fancier than most of my dining out choices). First things first – cocktails! I went for

I have to say I go through my stages with green tea. There are times when I drink it quite often and then I usually go off it again. One of the things that puts me off is that if you don’t brew it for the exact right amount of time it can taste really

Would love to win a double pass, I have been gluten free for a couple of years but my sister has recently been told she needs to follow a gluten free diet, so I would love to take her, and also have a look at all the new products available

Being able to learn more about gluten free food and products would be an excellent opportunity to have a better understanding of my partner’s mother’s diet, as she is gluten intolerance. Gluten free products are relatively limited and by attending the Show, I would also be able to introduce new products to widen her options. Thanks in advance =)
