Every Friday night from 5:30-9:30pm since 5 November (finishing this Friday night) the Civic Centre Park in North Sydney has hosted the Twilight Food Fair, a night food market with international food stalls and live music.

My work colleague and I finally got along on Friday night for dinner after work.

There were a number of food choices including dumplings, Indian, Thai and Gozleme with two dessert options (gelato and chocolate).

Both my work colleague and I chose Thai from the Span Thai stall for dinner. Not only do I love Thai but I was pretty sure they would have gluten free options as I ate from this stall when attending the Night Noodle Markets in Hyde Park last year. From the options I chose the Paella and Pad Thai. As usual the Pad Thai was delicious, full of flavour, however I would have liked a little more chicken in it. I found the Paella a bit boring – it was mostly rice and didn’t have huge amounts of flavour.

Civic Centre Park is a great setting for the markets and is perfect for families.

For dessert we decided to share some coconut bark from Cocoa Confections. At this point it started to rain quite hard so we decided to make our way to The Treehouse Hotel where we sneakily ate our chocolate over coffee (or in my case a Chai latte).

If you want to check out the Twilight Food Fair remember that this Friday is the last one for this summer.
