Choices Gluten Free bakery open in Bondi Junction!
Early on after being diagnosed with coeliac disease I stumbled upon Choices Gluten Free bakery. At the time the closest one to me was in Turramurra which was a fair drive! Then to make matters worse I recently moved even further away from the bakery. I had visited the bakery in Turramurra once and walked away a lot poorer due to all the amazing food that they stocked (which I found out due to that fact that they were holding taste testings that day). Also living so far away I felt I had to stock up!
But imagine my excitement when I found out that Choices has recently opened up a store in Bondi Junction.
Their banana bread is amazing (also loved by a number of my non coeliac family members) as well as their chocolate brownie and lemon meringue pies!
So if you take my advice and visit make sure you tell me what your favourite item is!

Choices is such a great shop! I’ve been visiting their St Ives location for a few years and it’s good to see so many new stores opening!

I ordered online from them. Their banana bread and cookies are amazing. The bagels are ok, and the bread loaf and baguettes I ordered were inedible. I tried toasting/cooking/microwaving but nothing I could do got rid of the rubbery unchewable texture. Maybe they’d been frozen before sending them to me, which destroyed the texture? I will be back for their cakes and bickies – but their bread was truly the worst gluten free bread I’ve had in my life and I’ve been a diagnosed coeliac for 14 years, so I’ve tried a LOT. I would not order from them online again without first trying the products.

Hmm I have tried some of their bread in store and it definitely wasn’t the worst I have tasted so maybe it was something to do with it not being fresh? I know that some gluten free bread which tastes delicious fresh is not so good once frozen and re-heated.
They often have tastings at their stores which would be a great time to go and try out their products (if you live near by) before ordering online again!
