I don’t know about you but I love Macadamia nuts… so I was very excited to receive a couple of products from Brookfarm‘s gluten free range. Before I go into the specifics of each product it’s worth noting that Brookfarm is “Australia’s most awarded producer of fine gourmet macadamia products.” Even better is that Brookfarm’s products contain no preservatives or additives.

First up I tried the Brookfarm gluten free Macadamia Muesli and I was impressed. Gluten free muesli’s can be hit and miss, often being very dry and crunchy (not in a good way) however this one was far from that. It was full of yummy macadamia nuts and cranberry among other things. It was perfect sprinkled over natural yoghurt with sliced fruit for breakfast!

Brookfarm also have a Gluten Free Cranberry & Macadamia Bar which is based on the gluten free muesli. While I didn’t like this as much as the muesli (which I could have eaten in one sitting) I did enjoy it and it’s great for a snack with no preservatives or artificial nasties.

I got out the Brookfarm Walkabout Mix’s for nibbles when I had friends over for a BBQ and everyone thought they were such a great idea. The Seven Mile Beach Walkabout Mix was the favourite due to the white chocolate pieces which were absolutely delicious!

Many, including myself found the dark chocolate pieces in the Mt. Bogong Mix a little too strong (though I am not a huge fan of dark chocolate).

The Nightcap Ranges Mix which included just nuts and dried fruits was enjoyed also.

I would highly recommend Brookfarm’s range and you can go here to find out where you can buy the products.
