Wolfies, The Rocks
Happy Valentine’s Day! If you are still on the lookout for somewhere to eat tonight in Sydney how about trying Wolfies in The Rocks? I recently attended a one day training course at Wolfies which is situated in a historic storehouse and still boasts the old stone walls which are modernised by the lighting and other internal decorations.
We had a sit down lunch with an entree and main, which was amazing considering we were all expecting a tray of sandwiches. The specially printed menus detailed what we would be having for lunch.
I was given a gluten free version of the salt and pepper tossed prawns for my entree. The prawns were very tasty and didn’t really need the lemon or plum sauce that was provided with them. The dish was presented beautifully, with the prawns sitting on a small square of seaweed.
For the main the chicken breast stuffed with marscarpone & lemon thyme, soft polenta, wilted spinach & pan juices was gluten free so I got this dish. I loved the stuffing in the chicken which oozed out when you cut it. Overall I enjoyed the dish however I would have preferred something a bit lighter for a summer lunch.
If you would like to dine at Woolfies they have indoor and outdoor seating right on the harbour with great views across the water to the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge.
When have you been ‘surprised’ by a meal?

I went to Wolfies for a big family dinner just over a year ago and there were a fair few issues, so it’s good to see that it must have improved since then! It’s a great spot
