Unusual these may sound, but they are such an easy and yummy treat. Great for Easter, perfect for Halloween (yes I know it’s awhile away but you can always file this recipe away until then!).
I haven’t had these in awhile as I used to make them with Chang’s Fried Noodles and like a lot of things I can’t eat these anymore. I dreamt of Hot Cross Buns last night… it may have been because I baked some before going to bed and the smell was wafting through the house.
There is nothing I love more at Easter time than the smell of Hot Cross Buns and after spotting this recipe on a fellow gluten free blogger’s blog I decided I had to try making my own. I have never made Hot Cross Buns before, even when I wasn’t coeliac, however there were many years of my life where I would only eat the fruitless Hot Cross Buns anyway.

Easter is only a couple of days away and everywhere you go you can’t seem to escape the sight and smell of chocolate and Hot Cross Buns. The chocolate part is no problem for those who are coealic or gluten intolerant as most chocolate is gluten free (Darrell Lea have even partnered with Sweet William to produce a range that has no chance of contamination unlike the rest of Darrell Lea’s range), however when it comes to Hot Cross Buns it’s a different ball game!
